【摘要】:Thisstandarddescribesamethodfortheevaluationofcastingroughnessbymeansofvisualtactilecomparators.Themethodisapplicabletoallcastingprocesses(exceptpressurediecasting)forallcastmaterials.Themethodcanbeusedfortheassessmentofcastingsorareasofcastingsintheas-castcondition(beyondremovalofcastingappendages,suchasgates,risersandflashandremovalofresiduesofthemouldingmaterial).Thismethoddoesnotgiveameansofdeterminingthequalityofcastingsbyvisualexamination.However,sincenon-destructivetesting(ultrasonic,dyepenetrantetc.)isinfluencedbysurfacecondition,preliminaryroughnessevaluationmaybemadeusingthismethodasanaidtosubsequentnon-destructivetestingexamination.note:2)VisualinspectionofsteelcastingsforevaluatingsurfacediscontinuitiescanbedoneinaccordancewithprEN12454.
