【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedinthelaboratorymixdesignofbituminousmixtures.Specimensarepreparedinaccordancewiththemethodandtestedformaximumloadandflow.Densityandvoidspropertiesmayalsobedeterminedonspecimenspreparedinaccordancewiththemethod.Thetestingsectionofthismethodcanalsobeusedtoobtainmaximumloadandflowforbituminouspavingspecimenscoredfrompavementsorpreparedbyothermethods.Theseresultsmaydifferfromvaluesobtainedonspecimenspreparedbythistestmethod.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftheresistancetoplasticflowofcylindricalspecimensofbituminouspavingmixtureloadedonthelateralsurfacebymeansoftheMarshallapparatus.Thistestmethodisforusewithmixturescontainingasphaltcementandaggregateupto11/2in.(37.5mm)nominalmaximumsize.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandardexceptforreferencetosievesizesandsizeofaggregateasmeasuredbytestingsievesinwhichSIunitsarestandardaccordingtoSpecificationE11.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:PressingcryosectionsflatontoaconductingsubstratehasbeenoneofthemostchallengingproblemsinSIMSanalysisofcryogenicallypreparedtissuespecimens.Frozencryosectionsoftencurlorpeeloff,orboth,fromthesubstrateduringfreeze-drying.ThecurlingofcryosectionsresultsinanunevensamplesurfaceforSIMSanalysis.Furthermore,iffreeze-driedcryosectionsarenotattachedtightlytothesubstrate,theimpactoftheprimaryionbeammayresultinfurthercurlingandevendislodgingofthecryosectionfromthesubstrate.TheseproblemsrenderSIMSanalysisdifficult,frustratingandtimeconsuming.Theuseofindiumasasubstrateforpressingcryosectionsflathasprovidedapracticalapproachforanalyzingcryogenicallypreparedtissuespecimens.(1)TheproceduredescribedhereinhasbeensuccessfullyusedforSIMSimagingofcalciumandmagnesiumtransportandlocalizationofanticancerdrugsinanimalmodels(2,3,4,5)Theproceduredescribedhereisamenabletosofttissuesofbothanimalandplantorigin.1.1ThispracticeprovidestheSecondaryIonMassSpectrometry(SIMS)analystwithamethodforanalyzingtissuecryosectionsintheimagingmodeoftheinstrument.Thispracticeissuitableforfrozen-freeze-driedandfrozen-hydratedcryosectionanalysis.1.2Thispracticedoesnotdescribemethodsforoptimalfreezingofthespecimenforimmobilizingdiffusiblechemicalspeciesintheirnativeintracellularsites.1.3Thispracticedoesnotdescribemethodsforobtainingcryosectionsfromafrozenspecimen.1.4Thispracticeisnotsuitableforanyplasticembeddedtissues.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
